The book Power Plant's Chemistry (Volume Three) – Ion Exchange Systems: Fundamentals, Design, Operation, Applications, Challenges, and Solutions, authored by Engineer Ali Zarei Tel-Abad, was selected as an outstanding title in the Applied Sciences category at the 7th National Academic Publishing Festival.
According to the Public Relations Office of Shahid Beheshti University, the festival’s closing ceremony was held with the participation of Mohsen Javadi, Deputy Minister for Cultural Affairs at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance; Ahmad Masjed-Jamei, Deputy Head of the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia; Amir-Masoud Shahramnia, Head of the University Publishing Center; and Seyed Abbas Hosseini-Nik, Chairman of the Board of the Cultural Association of Academic Book Publishers.

The National Academic Publishing Festival aims to recognize scholarly efforts and encourage academic authors, translators, and publishers. In its seventh edition, the call for submissions was announced in Shahrivar (September), and a total of 673 authored and translated titles (first editions published in 1403) from across the country were submitted to the festival secretariat—an 11% increase compared with the previous year.

After an initial review and classification based on the Dewey Decimal system, the submitted works underwent a three-stage specialist evaluation process. Assessment criteria included the work’s innovation and academic necessity, the quality of writing and editing, compliance with intellectual property rights, coherence of the scholarly structure, and the technical quality of book production.

Ultimately, 11 titles across six academic categories—Applied Sciences, Social Sciences, Philosophy and Psychology, Pure Sciences, Art and Architecture, and Religion—were selected as outstanding works. Power Plant Chemistry (Volume Three) received the award in the Applied (Technical) Sciences category.
